Real jobs, told the way they happened: the problem we found, the solution that fixed it, and the numbers that prove it. Client names and locations stay off this page on purpose. Discretion is part of the service. We add new case studies as projects are completed.
Case Study #1: Water-Source Heat Pump With a Clogged Heat Exchanger
The equipment: a ClimateMaster Tranquility 16 Compact water-source heat pump serving a single condominium unit.
The problem
The unit had stopped cooling. After years of scale buildup inside the water coil, water flow had slowed and head pressure had climbed to 550 psi, high enough to trip the unit off on its own safety controls. The usual recommendation for a unit in this shape is replacement.
The solution
We circulated a professional descaling solution through the water coil in an acid flush until the scale let go and full flow came back, then replaced the tired water connections with new stainless steel braided hoses and shutoff valves.
The result
Head pressure fell from 550 psi to 370 psi and held steady. The unit went back to cooling normally the same day, with no replacement needed. That is the difference between maintaining equipment and selling equipment.
